Introduction

Aliviar Counseling Services, Inc. (ACSI) is an intensive outpatient counseling service aiding the Albuquerque Metro area and surrounding communities. Our staff at ACSI are experienced licensed professionals with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. We specialize in treating individuals with chemical dependency problems and other related issues. Our staff has extensive experience, training and licensing in the chemical dependency field, mental health and rehabilitative counseling. All services are provided on a sliding fee scale. Individuals with problems beyond our scope of treatment are referred to an appropriate treatment program. Individual services are provided by telehealth (virtual or telephone) or In-Person at our office location. All groups are virtual.

Our Philosophy 

At ACSI, therapy is based on the behavioral model and also uses a holistic approach that is appropriate for our varied treatment population. We believe that each individual is unique and at times there us an injured or diseased component that requires treatment. Therapy will address these issues and encourage growth in the client in areas, such as: environment, economics, family and interpersonal relationships. We believe that each individual is unique and special in society and that therapy will promote a change in behavior and cognitive view themselves and the world. We also believe that an individual has the strength and ability to control their destiny and not be a victim to their surroundings. We promote positive behavior and encourage the attainment of goals the client has established. Therapy will assist these individuals in changing their behavior and cognitive perspectives within themselves.
